Really happy when huili visited us with her mum. She came last week to have dinner with us too! So touched!! Made an effort to come meet us i think. Not like the others who don't even care. Just staying around the area and yet couldn't meet us for dinner. Gave dumb excuses too..stupid! Not that we care very much to have dinner with you people but all of us haven't met up in ages so we thought of catching up. Haiz..shouldn't say too much. Went for my very 1st lesson of referee course. The lecturer is an old man who's very inflexible and naggy. Think a lot of us were falling asleep during the lesson but i was wide awake!! Read through the rules and i can't wait for the next lesson to commence tomorrow! Haha...fun! There's this guy from malaysia who's super geeky. Think he read up all the rule books from different basketball association esp from malaysia before coming for the course. He was questioning the lecturer about the difference between the FIBA rules and MIBA rules. Hell...he's in Singapore, just follow whatever goddamn rules we're using here lor..hope we get started on the practical soon! At least we get to move to Aljunied for the lesson instead of having lessons at Geylang. Aiyo..the place is horrible! The whole street is infested with prostitutes and lusty old man trying to get them to bed. So scary to walk out of the BAS building because you'll see men looking at you with leery eyes trying to gauge how much you'll cost. Eww...i need to take cover man! Super scary!! Finally had my first lesson.Waited so many years to sign up for the course and i'm glad that i finally did it. Couldn't understand why i sign up because i'm usually the one cursing the referee but i guess as long as it has something to do with bball,i'll gladly do it. Haven't been training or playing bball this few days. Missed playing and of course the company on the court. The physical test is a real worry!! She expected you to turn up but when she received your call, she realises that it's all wishful thinking on her part. The lame excuses that you gave convinces her that you didn't really want to meet or you would have gone out of your way to meet her no matter what. She's sorry for hurting her friends after the telephone call by being mean but she just couldn't help herself. The pain was just too great to be carried on so she had to let it out. Probably by sharing the pain, she'll feel better. I despise you for turning her into what she is and i pity her for being controlled by you in this way. She's learning to let go and once she managed it, you'll be dead meat cos i'm coming after you! Saw michelle chong and chew chou meng today. Michelle chong smiled at me!! She's friendly unlike chew chou meng. Stupid fatty! Friday, January 14, 2005

It's the start of the new year and i felt it especially this year because i was at the esplanade counting down to the new year with at least three hundred other strangers doing the same thing as me. What a wierd yet wonderful feeling. You look at the start of the year with anticipation yet the old year closes with a disaster that reminds us that no matter how improved technology is..we're still humans. Nothing can stop the tsunami from killing so many people although we all feel safe inside the blocks of buildings that we call home now. Everyone around the world contributes to help the people living in the area by sending them clothes and other neccessity to tide them over the crisis but is that what they really need? What about the psychological pain that they felt when their loved ones died when the tsunami hit the land? The emotional turmoil that they felt when their relatives are lost and uncontactable after everything has kind of settled down and the new year is approaching. The scenes of parents crying over the bodies of their children tugs at many heartstrings and yet many of us are really glad that this is not happening to us. All this just made the closing of the year and umforgettable one. Maybe thirty years down the road, none of us will ever remember this natural disaster and continue with our festive celebrations like there's no tomorrow. For those who died during the tsunami, they really have no tomorrow. God bless those who are killed and those who survived, thank your lucky stars! 02/01/2005 Went to teach with my aunt at Marsailing Community Center. I'm again convinced that i'm good with kids. Haha..the kids just love me and asked me to come again for the next lesson. What next lesson? It's the last lesson for them before the all go to school the next day. The kids are all preschool children. Only 3-4 years old. There's only five kids in the class because it's raining heavily and it's the last class for them so i guess the others couldn't be too bothered to turn up on a nice cool morning. Anyway, those who turn up were simply adorable. The guys are more active and verbal at this age so they kind of grab all the attention of the ladies of the class. The three girls are more quiet but were well behaved and sweet. We had a sing and dance session with them and a colouring session. Somehow the girls outperformed the boys where colouring is concerned. The sing and dance session was dominated by the 2 boys who were obsessed with The Incredibles. Haha...i had to hold their hands while doing the butterfly song but i have only 2 hands that have to be shared among 3 kids. What am i to do? Had lots of fun with the kids. Before they left, they hugged me and sat on my lap telling me to come the next time. Eugene was asking my if i will be at his play school tomorrow when school reopens to be with him. Haha..that really makes me smile. Kids are somehow more sincere and honest when they like someone unlike the grownups who put on a mask and you don't really know if you can trust them. Kids are more truthful too. They trust that you'll fulfill your promise because they fulfill theirs too but i can't say the same for non-kiddos... Lunch was packed home and eaten with grandparents. Went to my aunties shop straight after that for slimming sessions. Haha..can feel my fats being sucked out of that giant machine. Am i getting any lighter? Had a steam bath and jacuzzi after all that sucking...it's really calm and refreshing. All that relaxation just made me yearn for my nice, warm bed. Fell asleep in the car on the way home. Had a delicious dinner and saw my brothers packing up and getting ready for school. Feels wierd that i'm not joining them in their packing and getting ready but i had my fair share of school reopening blues so i'm glad that i don't have to join them. Time passes really fast. The JC1s are now JC2s students and we're are all out of the school waiting for our results. Some of the guys are already in NS while the others are working and getting ready to serve the nation with great reluctance. The girls have a much easier time working and not getting ready to serve the nation. We serve it by boasting the economy with all our spendings and savings. The banks will somehow invest the money that we saved inside the bank as they are their liabilities. Haha..economics again! Today...i shall spend it with me, myself and the bball girls. Joining them for training later in the evening...finally i'm playing basketball again. The surprise was as great as the disappointment. I didn't wish to know that you were coming to know that you are not joining us anymore. The sudden lifting and falling of the spirits is not good for my weak and heavy heart. I miss you!
